I've been blogging/online journaling in some form or another since 1999, before the term "blogging" was even coined. Back then, I was still new to the web and computers in general, and got a certain satisfaction out of configuring Blogger or setting up my own Greymatter, MovableType, and Wordpress installs.

Now, I'm just after something simple, yet customizable, and that's what Posterous offers. I don't have to worry about file hosting and structure and I can still make my blog look the way I want (well mostly, I'd like to use some JavaScript please). The autopost feature is great for sending content to my friends who only check certainplaces for updates.

The Posterous staff are also really quick to respond -- I've emailed help@ 3 times with issues/suggestions, and received answers and pushed bug fixes within 24 hours each time.

I've been here since February, and definitely recommend the move!
