Why I switched from Wordpress to Posterous

I didn't want to use Posterous. I was quite happy with Wordpress and didn't see the point of migrating. If it ain't broken, why fix it? My boyfriend, who is an insane Posterous fan, kept mentioning Posterous every time I had even a slight problem with Wordpress. Eventually, he persuaded me to at least block a Posterous account for myself. Then he got me to guest post for his posterous blog.

I still didn't want to migrate. I kept resisting.

The autoposting features and the ability to link to other services got me intrigued and I imported my Wordpress blog to Posterous. And then, Posterous became my primary blogging tool and I just autoposted to my Wordpress. Then I kept autoposting to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Flickr... it was so easy! That's what I've grown to love about it; the ease with which I can blog. Also, the customer service is superb and very personal. I sent in an email once when I had a problem and got a personal, NOT AUTOMATED, reply. That impressed me no end (want proof? See this:

).

I love what Posterous has to offer; I now host two blogs with it. My main blog and my photo blog. Can't praise it highly enough. The switch to Posterous was one of the best decisions I could've made.

As the Borg might say, "Resistance is futile"!!!
